“I have had my fair share of participation in mentoring programmes and when I started with Ascension I did not expect much, even though I wanted much from it. I was going through tough times with my job at the time and had a lot on my mind.
The first thing I learnt and was seriously lacking before was prioritization. Through the programme schedule and themes I also learnt how to be in control of my career and life. I was advised on how to restructure my resume and how to answer some classic employment interview questions. “As a young graduate I had so many dreams I wished to accomplish. I was so eager to enter into any career guidance programme and joined the Ascension Mentoring programme.
On my first interview with the coach I realized this was exactly what I had been searching for. The topics treated and the various workbooks and assignments made me realize how much I am wasting time simply writing down ideas and not acting on them.
Through the knowledge, skills and confidence I got from Ascension, I have now acted on my ideas and launched my dream of providing free mentoring program for young girls in Ghana by establishing the PAM Girls Advancement (PAMGAD) initiative.
